TOLEDO, Ohio — A Toledo church building that neighbors remember as a thriving place of worship has deteriorated to the point of the city declaring the property a public nuisance, and the property owner appearing in court.
The property at 1664 W. Bancroft St. was once Beacon Church, according to longtime neighbor Chester Carter, who has lived near the building for 31 years.
