HIVE housing project underway in Newberg

A consortium of organizations is attempting to address the lack of affordable housing in Newberg with an innovative project underway along North College Street.

The Housing Innovation Village Experience (HIVE) — in concert with the Missing Middle Housing Fund, SEDCOR and the Newberg Workforce Housing Consortium — will utilize products supplied by the Oregon Mass Timber Coalition to construct the cluster of 10 cottages ranging from 800 to 1,700 square feet in size, two and three bedrooms and starting at about $300,000.
