Shreveport councilman withdraws from city marshal’s race, leaves Jefferson as lone candidate

SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport City Councilman Grayson Boucher announced today that he has withdrawn as a candidate for Shreveport city marshal.

That leaves current City Marshal James Jefferson as the lone qualifier, meaning he’s been reelected to a second term without opposition.

Anthony Johnson, who also qualified for the position last week, had already withdrawn, according to a notation on the Secretary of State’s website…
