Women’s fashion retailer Aritzia unveiled its first Louisiana location at Metairie’s Lakeside Shopping Center Thursday, featuring a collaboration with a beloved local pizza restaurant to celebrate the the store’s grand opening.
Aritzia, based in Vancouver, Canada, opened a new 9,200-square-foot space across from Kendra Scott in the mall, where customers will be able to buy limited-edition t-shirts and hoodies in collaboration with St. Pizza, a New York-style pizzeria on Magazine Street, starting next week along with regular merchandise. The new store also offers a lounge area and stylists by appointment to help customers shop for clothes.
As part of the grand opening, Aritzia customers from Thursday to Sunday will receive St. Pizza soft serve with every purchase, bag charms with purchases over $150 and the St. Pizza hoodie with purchases over $400 while supplies last. The St. Pizza collaboration will be available for purchase in limited quantities on the Aritzia app starting Thursday, and at the Lakeside Shopping Center location on Monday, Aug. 17.
Aritzia, in the days ahead of the launch, made several posts promoting the new store on social media, including photos of a giant Aritzia bag installation in the mall’s center that will be there through Aug. 25, a video of local jazz clarinetist Doreen Ketchens and photos of the new store and its merchandise, including bag charms of an oyster and the company’s name in the style of New Orleans street tiles.
Aritzia has over 140 store location across North America and offers customers exclusive brands like Wilfred, Babaton, Golden, Tna, The Super Puff and Sunday Best. The store has been around for 42 years…
