Lawsuit says Montgomery Central High, ex-teacher failed to protect student from harassment

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A lawsuit alleges Montgomery Central High School and a former teacher failed to protect a student from sexual harassment after the student says she was shown nude photos of the teacher.

The lawsuit was filed by Makenzie Ellithorpe, who says she was 17 at the time. Ellithorpe says she asked her teacher, Matthew Vedder, about some assignments. She says he first showed her a photo of a trailer, then showed her nude photos of himself.
