IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — Multiple police agencies surrounded a house on Laurelton Road in Irondequoit on Friday in an ongoing standoff.
News10NBC reporter Garrett Chan was at the scene near Culver Parkway and Helendale Road. Rochester and Irondequoit police, first responders and state troopers surrounded a green house at the corner of Laurelton Road and Helendale Road.
From late morning through the afternoon, officers were spotted with long guns pointed at the front of the house. Around 11:30 a.m., officers fired gas rounds at one of the windows, leaving visible holes.
Cell phone video from a neighbor showed another angle of the standoff from a backyard. State troopers and officers were seen pointing rifles around the garage toward the home…
