Davis family reacts to Vasquez-Lopez’s not guilty plea

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – Nearly six months after the death of Savannah-Chatham County teacher Dr. Linda Davis, her wife reacted to the not-guilty plea from the man accused of killing Davis.

Oscar Vasquez-Lopez appeared in court Thursday and entered a not guilty plea to one count of first-degree vehicular homicide. Investigators said Vasquez-Lopez was trying to flee federal immigration agents when he crashed into Davis’ vehicle on Feb. 16.

Consweulo Davis, Linda’s wife, said she respects Vasquez-Lopez’s right to plead not guilty and wants the case to move through the legal process…
