Tucson non-profit gives grants to six police officers for continuing education

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A local non-profit continues its mission of investing in first responders.

On Friday, Aug. 14, three Tucson Police Department officers – Jonathan Austad, Elizabeth Mitchel, and Angel Espadas – received $1,000 grants from Rockin’ 4 Heroes to help advance their careers through continuing education and specialized training while serving their community.

The group previously handed out $1,000 grants to Marana officers Maritza Rumsley and Allicia Caughlin, as well as Oro Valley Sgt. Ryan Goss.
