Garland police are increasing DWI patrols through Labor Day as part of a Texas Department of Transportation grant program targeting impaired and underage drinking and driving.
During the enforcement period, officers will focus on nighttime hours and use both marked and unmarked patrol vehicles to identify and remove impaired drivers from the roads.
“We want to make sure that those who don’t think about the consequences are aware that we’re going to be out there. There’s so many different options for people that are going to go out and celebrate. Have a drink,” Garland police spokesperson Pedro Barineau said…
