NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Residents were displaced after a house fire on Cecelia Street in Norfolk Sunday morning, according to Norfolk Fire-Rescue.
Just before 5 a.m. on Aug. 16, crews were dispatched for a reported structure fire at 956 Cecelia Street. When crews arrived to the scene, they discovered smoke and fire on the back of the home.
Firefighters then started an attack to extinguish the fire and move to the house’s attic, which is where the fire spread to. Fire control was called by 5:19 a.m. The Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene to begin its investigation.
