A house fire on Sunday morning damaged a vacant home near downtown Eugene, according to Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF).
ESF received a call around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16 from someone reporting thick black smoke coming from a vacant home in the 1400 block of Ferry Street.
Engine 1 from ESF’s downtown station arrived in under 4 minutes and found flames spreading through the single-story home. Crews began working to suppress the fire and search for any potential victims…
