Anytime that a college football team reels in a 5-star recruit, the instant question becomes how soon they make an impact on the field. This past cycle, the Ducks reeled in 4 5-star recruits, but it isn’t always easy to find instant playing time on a team as talented as Oregon. When the coaching staff brought back as many key pieces as they did, it made it harder to find playng time for the group.
Flying under the radar, the most heading into this season is 5-star edge rusher Anthony “Tank” Jones out of Alabama. The Ducks signed Jones as the 22nd ranked player in the Country according to 24/7 Sports, but with Teitum Tuioti and Matayo Uiagalelei returning along with all the other pieces in the room, it isn’t easy to find time for Jones. The news Oregon fans will love to hear is that it appears that Anthony Jones is taking matters into his own hands.

Sometimes players come in, and they aren’t receptive to learning other positions or potentially taking on a new role, but it appears that Jones has the perfect mentality. Players doing whatever is best for the team is how you win a championship, and Jones being willing to fit any role will only help the Ducks’ chances…
