Search underway for L.A. inmate who removed GPS, escaped facility

A search is underway for an incarcerated man who allegedly removed his GPS monitoring device and walked away from a community reentry program in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

Dejohn Snell, 28, was discovered missing from a Male Community Reentry Program in Los Angeles County after staff received a GPS tamper alert at about 5:40 p.m. Aug. 16, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
