CHARLESTON, SC (WMBF) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, completed its $72 million Grand Strand Renourishment project on Aug. 15.
The purpose of the project was to restore and protect against storm damage along the South Carolina coast, including North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, and Garden City.
