U.S. News & World Report released its latest rankings of the best public high schools in Maryland, with 17 Montgomery County Public Schools included among the state’s top 50. The top 50, out of 275 total high schools, can be seen below with MCPS schools in bold.
Four MCPS schools placed among Maryland’s top five. Poolesville High School ranked second in Maryland and 135th nationally, followed by Winston Churchill High School at No. 3, Walt Whitman High School at No. 4 and Thomas S. Wootton High School at No. 5. Richard Montgomery High School also placed in the top 10, ranking seventh in Maryland and 291st nationally. The full top 50 is:
