NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Greg Mathis Charter High School is officially becoming part of the Charleston County School District, bringing a new approach to a school that serves students who have struggled in traditional education settings.
The transition will also create what CCSD calls the “Greg Mathis Model,” which will connect students with local businesses, industries and nonprofits for work-based learning, career exploration, professional certifications and opportunities to earn wages while completing their high school education.
