The team behind Original Joe’s and Little Original Joe’s, as well as Elena’s in West Portal, is readying to open another family-friendly spot in the neighborhood focused just on burgers and chicken tenders.
It’s called Original Joe’s Cable Car, and it’s going into the space at 385 West Portal Avenue, formerly Clay Oven, which is next door to the first location of Little Original Joe’s. The timeline is long here, though — they’re aiming for late 2027.
Sibling owners John and Elena Duggan, who live in West Portal and both raised children there, tell the Chronicle that they’re hoping that Original Joe’s Cable Car will be “something parents can take their kids to, and kids can drag their parents to.”…
