Award-winning Oregon brewery to ‘pause operations’ on 1 of 3 taprooms

Oakshire Brewing is “pausing operations” at its downtown Springfield taproom at the end of the month a little over ayear after opening the location, the company announced Aug. 18.

The location at 416 Main St. was the third Oakshire Brewing taproom in Oregon. The other two are in Eugene and Portland. It is the second business on Main Street in Springfield to announce a closure in as many weeks, following Cornucopia Main Street shutting its doors Aug. 16.

“Since opening our doors last April, we’ve been incredibly proud of the welcoming space our Commons team has created. We’re grateful for their hard work, care and hospitality — and for everyone in the Springfield community who has stopped in for a beer, shared a pizza and supported us along the way,” Oakshire management said in a Facebook post. “We’re calling this a pause because we believe there may be more possibilities for this space, and we’re taking some time to thoughtfully consider what could come next.”…
