A 31-year-old Eugene woman was arrested Tuesday morning, accused of breaking into a Kinsrow Avenue apartment while brandishing two swords and stealing a resident’s cell phone, a Eugene Police Department spokesperson said.
A woman told police she woke up to find someone in her bathroom and called authorities. Police en route spotted a woman matching the description on Chevy Chase Drive.
The woman, later identified as Nicole Angelica Arredondo, 31, ran from the officer, but was eventually apprehended. She denied being in the apartment or having swords. But police found two swords, including a 4-foot Samurai-style weapon, near where they spotted her, and the victim’s phone was found in Arredondo’s back pocket, police said…
