Portland could see rain, cooler temperatures heading into the weekend

After a stretch of warm summer weather, Portland is looking at a cooler and wetter weekend ahead as a low-pressure system is expected to move over the region.

Rain is expected to begin after 10 p.m. Friday and continue through Saturday morning, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Hannah Chandler-Cooley.

The city could see drizzle into later Saturday afternoon. But overall rainfall in Portland is expected to be light during the weather system, a few hundredths to a tenth of an inch, Chandler-Cooley said…
