CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The U.S. News & World Report issued a ranked list of the nation’s high schools, and several Lowcountry schools were ranked among the best in the state.
U.S. News evaluated schools based on six key indicators, including student performance on state assessments, graduation rates, college readiness, and performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs.
Nearly 27,000 public high schools were evaluated in this year’s study, with approximately 18,000 receiving a numerical rank. More about the study’s methodology can be found here.
