A month after offering a scholarship, Michael Malone and North Carolina have lined up an official visit with Asa Montgomery. The 6-foot-7 forward from Powder Springs (Ga.) Hillgrove will be in Chapel Hill the weekend of Sept. 25, he announced on Thursday.
That’s one of eight official visits Montgomery has planned for the fall. The others are LSU (Aug. 28), Florida (Sept. 4), UConn (Sept. 11), Providence (Sept. 18), Duke (Oct. 2), Arizona (Oct. 16), and Louisville (Oct. 30).
Malone offered Montgomery a scholarship on July 17 after watching his big summer on the travel circuit with Team AOT and in international play with the USA Basketball Junior National Team…
