PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Providence Public School District head of operations has resigned less than a week before the new school year begins, but officials say the departure will not disrupt the start of classes.
Zack Scott, deputy superintendent of operations, submitted his resignation to the district on Wednesday, Target 12 has learned. The first day of school is Tuesday.
District spokesperson Alex Torres-Perez told Target 12 that Scott’s resignation goes into effect on Sept. 25, and that he is working closely with Superintendent Javier Montañez and the district “to develop a transition plan.”…
