Palma Sola Bay doesn’t meet state bacteria standards

BRADENTON — According to Suncoast Waterkeeper water quality specialist Pia Ronquillo-See, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) has confirmed that Palma Sola Bay fails state bacteria standards and might require a plan to reduce pollution.

Ronquillo-See presented those findings during the Aug. 12 meeting of the Palma Sola Scenic Byway organization.
