A Lyndhurst man who held police at bay for three hours the morning of Aug. 22, ultimately complied with police and was taken away for treatment safely after some serious negotiations with police, Deputy Police Chief Paul Haggerty told The Observer.
According to Haggerty, the man, a Lyndhurst resident, climbed onto a railroad bridge at around 7:30 a.m., and then down to what was described as the Lyndhurst Draw.
