WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — An inmate serving time for crimes in Sedgwick County died in prison on Saturday.
Michael Moore, 35, was found unresponsive in his cell at the Lansing Correctional Facility and couldn’t be revived, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.

An autopsy will determine his cause of death. All inmate deaths are investigated by the Department of Corrections and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
Moore was sentenced in August 2025 for aggravated escape; robbery; possession of opiates, narcotics or stimulants; and DUI. The earliest he would have been released was May 10, 2031…
