The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office has received court authorization to investigate Life is Sweet Bakery and Café in Milan over allegations involving customer tips.
Washtenaw County Circuit Court approved the investigation Aug. 7, according to MLive, which cited court filings and confirmation from the court. The authorization allows the prosecutor’s office to subpoena records and testimony while examining whether the bakery’s practices violated the Michigan Consumer Protection Act.
