3 Men Shot In Broad Daylight At Humboldt Park Parking Lot, One Critical

Three men were shot before noon Wednesday in a parking lot in the 4000 block of West Hirsch Street in Humboldt Park, with a 25-year-old guy in critical condition and a 22-year-old man also in serious condition. Police said a 33-year-old man was in good condition. Nobody has been taken into custody.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a passenger in a vehicle opened fire on the three man, ages 22, 25, and 33. The 22-year-old was wounded in the abdomen and is in critical condition, authorities said. The 25-year-old was wounded in the right armpit and brought to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, while the 33-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand.

According to the same source, the 22-year-old and 33-year-old took themselves to what police called as Norwegian Hospital. According to WMAQ-TV, the facility, located at 1044 N. Francisco Ave., has been operating under the name Humboldt Park Health since a rebranding in January 2021 to stress its health equity objective.
