A man is demanding $5 million from the City of Mesa because a golf ball at the municipal course slammed into his groin on Valentine’s Day.
According to attorney Thomas Richardson, the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. Feb. 14 Day at Dobson Ranch Golf Course while Jackson Shelton was practicing shots on a mat.
An adjacent golfer struck a ball that hit a pole, then ricocheted into his client, Richardson said in the claim.
“The golf ball struck Jackson in the groin, causing him to collapse and need medical attention.”…
