ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The man accused of killing a 14-year-old in a University of New Mexico dorm won’t be going to trial as planned after he took a plea deal.
John Fuentes pleaded no contest to second-degree murder. Under the terms of the deal, he will serve 12 years in prison.
