RUSTON, La. — A Ruston community came together Monday to support the family of Lillian Smart, who died after contracting a rare parasitic amoeba while swimming in Lake Claiborne.
Fundraisers at Texas Roadhouse locations in Ruston and Bossier City aimed to raise thousands of dollars for the Smart family.
