SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —In May, KELOLAND News brought you inside the Pet Wellness Veterinary Hospital inside PetSmart. But now, the main location for the pet hospital is open right off 57th Street in Sioux Falls.
“It’s even more exciting that we opened not the first, but then decided to go ahead and open a second location because the need was so high,” Hanson Family Foundation Director of Community Engagement & Development, Heidi Dean, said.
One of the things that sets this pet hospital apart is that it is a nonprofit.

“Every dollar that we make in profit, we invest back in our mission. And so we have another branch with Pet Wellness Veterinary Hospital. It’s called the Animal Resource Center, ARC for short, where we’re able to do special things like low-cost spay/neuter events and low-cost vaccination events and reinvest back into the community,” Dean said…
