Metairie man arrested with $1 million in drugs created in ‘Breaking Bad’ home lab, JPSO says

Detectives with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office seized more than $1 million worth of narcotics and arrested a man accused of illegally cooking up steroids and a plethora of other drugs in his Metairie home.

Anthony Caruso, 41, was booked Monday on a raft of charges including creation of a clandestine laboratory, illegal drug possession and gun charges.

Sheriff Joseph Lopinto likened the large-scale operation to “Breaking Bad,” the popular television show featuring a teacher who manufactured methamphetamine in home labs.
