A popular family-owned grocer has purchased a 1.03-acre industrial property in Manatee County. Detwiler’s bought 1119 19th Ave. E. in Palmetto for $1.06 million, according to a statement from American Property Group of Sarasota, which brokered the deal.
The seller is Dream Towing LLC, which acquired the site in 2021 for $475,000, according to Manatee County property records.
Detwiler’s, which has six stores across Sarasota and Manatee counties, plans to use the location for future expansion, although specific plans have not been disclosed. Its Palmetto store is adjacent to the newly acquired property…
