Bensalem Police Arrest Suspect from NYC In Identity Fraud Of North Carolina Resident

Bensalem Police arrested one man from Brooklyn New York and filed an arrest warrant for a second. each accused of stealing the identify of a resident in North Carolina and using his identity to withdraw funds from a federal credit union bank account.

According to the criminal complaint, Bensalem Police were contacted by the Wake County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina on Mar. 26. According to police, a victim had reported someone had withdrawn money from their Navy Federal Credit Union account, with the location happening at the Navy Federal bank on 2645 Street Road in Bensalem.

Police had reportedly spoken to a Navy Federal investigator who told them that on Mar 23, suspect Douglas Oakley entered the branch claiming to be the victim. Oakley presented the bank with the victims drivers licenses before using a Navy Federal Visa debit card to takeout $9,000 out of the victims bank account…
