MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Three men were sentenced to a combined 155 months in prison for their roles in a $250 million fraud scheme that exploited a federal program meant to feed children during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Abdihakim Ali Ahmed, 40 of Apple Valley, received 54 months in prison for wire fraud and money laundering. Ahmed Abdullahi Ghedi, 35 of Minneapolis, was sentenced to 65 months for the same charges. Ahmed Sharif Omar-Hashim, also known as “Salah Donyale,” 43 of Minneapolis, received 36 months for wire fraud.
