3 shot in Fayetteville, Cumberland County carjacking crime spree; 1 arrested: Officials

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities in Fayetteville have made an arrest after three people were shot during a carjacking crime spree that began after daybreak Sunday morning in Cumberland County, north of Fayetteville, police said.

The wild series of events that involved two unsuccessful carjackings began just after 7 a.m. along Messenger Drive off Honeycutt Road when a victim was shot during a carjacking north of Fayetteville in Cumberland County, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
