LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock City Council voted to unanimously ratify a meet-and-confer agreement with the Lubbock Professional Firefighters Association on Tuesday.
The agreement will allow Lubbock Fire and Rescue to transition to a new 24 hours on, 72 hours off schedule, giving first responders an extra day of rest than they currently receive between shifts.
