WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 25-year-old Winter Haven man was taken into custody Saturday, September 12, 2026, following a bicycle theft investigation that led to a foot chase near Lake Lulu, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident began when a Winter Haven resident contacted authorities to report a stolen bicycle. The victim told deputies he had been out when he noticed an unfamiliar man riding a bicycle while guiding a second bike alongside it.
