Fort Walton Beach man indicted on multiple drug trafficking and gun charges

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) – A Fort Walton Beach man has been indicted in federal court on multiple counts of drug possession, drug trafficking and gun charges.

According to a U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida news release, Jamil Hampton, 55, of Fort Walton Beach has been charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine and more than 28 grams of cocaine base, one count of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Hampton’s trial is set for Oct. 16 at the United States Courthouse in Pensacola…
