COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — We are tracking a rainy weekend. A Gulf low and cold front will bring lots of rain Saturday and Sunday. Scattered storms will be likely Saturday but the real washout will be Sunday. These showers and storms are on track to last almost all day.
Some rain could be heavy at times this weekend. Alabama and Georgia are under a level 2/4 risk for excessive rainfall. When it comes to rain totals, the Chattahoochee Valley could see over 4 inches of rain. We are WEATHER AWARE Sunday for the threat of flash flooding.
Rain will continue early Monday. The cold front will push through early Monday, and this will help clear up conditions.
Behind the front we are tracking cool Fall temperatures next week! Highs will drop into the low 70s midweek. Plus, those morning lows will sit in the low-50s for a few days. Unfortunately, we will start to heat back up by next weekend…
