Novant Health, which has a growing health care empire across the Carolinas including Hilton Head, was forced to explain and apologize to its 40,000 employees Friday after a technology mix-up led to workers not getting paid on time.
The check delay was first reported by WFMY News in Greensboro, N.C. The TV station reported being contacted by a few Novant employees who said that they had not received their pay. The delay was later confirmed by Novant.
