Police say man charged, talked about mass shooting at a graduation

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio (WJW) — The Fox 8 I-Team has found a local man facing a felony charge for allegedly talking about shooting up a high school graduation.

Tin Zuan Mak, of Medina, is facing a charge of attempted inducing panic. He appeared in Rocky River Municipal Court Wednesday and denied the allegations.

‘No immediate threat’: Man shot in Beachwood: I-Team

Rocky River police reports state the man made comments about a shooting at graduation to an employee of a local fast food restaurant.

“Tin told a business employee that it would be easy to shoot up a high school graduation, rather than a regular school day, due to lack of security,” a complaint filed in Rocky River Municipal Court states. “He stated he would do it by walking into the graduation, with a gun hidden under his jacket, and would start shooting everyone and that he would get extra kills due to people falling on one another. He’d shoot them again.”

When Mak appeared in court Wednesday, he said he disagreed with the complaint. He also told the judge he does not own any guns…
