The good vibes will be flowing in downtown Akron when Lock 3 hosts the two-day Rasta Vibe fest this weekend.
It starts Friday evening when two of the area’s longest-running reggae acts, Jah Messengers who roots reach back to the ’70s, and Akron’s own Umojah Nation, with its woman-heavy lineup, take the stage. Local reggae star J.R. Blessington with be joining Umojah Nation onstage.
Then starting at noon on Saturday, there’s music with Jamaica-born, Boston-based vocalist Mighty Mystic and Akron’s 12 O’Clock Tribe. DJ Mr. Ace hosts both days, and DJs will be spinning Caribbean music between sets to keep the flow going…
