MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The jury trial for the man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend inside a Dollar General while she was working, was scheduled to begin Monday afternoon; however, Arthur Velasquez ended up pleading guilty.
Velasquez was convicted of attempted murder, aggravated burglary, and kidnapping.
Judge William Hutson then sentenced Velasquez to a minimum of 11 years in prison to a maximum of 16 1/2 years in prison. He will also remain on probation for up to five years…
