Two Ohio men arrested on felony weapon charges in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police (NYSP) reported on Tuesday that two men from Ohio were arrested last week following a traffic stop in Albany. Daron Swisher, 30, of Fairlawn, and Andrew Zirneskie, 31, of Lakewood, both face multiple charges.

On June 19, troopers pulled over three motorcyclists on the Thruway in Albany near mile marker 144 around 9 p.m. for alleged vehicle and traffic law violations. NYSP stated that two of the riders, Swisher, and Zirneskie, were reportedly found with illegal weapons during the stop.

According to State Police, Swisher had two loaded handguns and a high-capacity ammunition device, and that Zirneskie had brass knuckles and a loaded high-capacity magazine. Troopers seized the recovered weapons, and Swisher and Zirneskie were taken into custody at the scene. The two now face the following charges:…
