A total of 256 different families came to the Love Center during May. Some families came in more than once, making a total of 357 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 30,325 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 12,923 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 743.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Faith Bible Church — Missions, Haven of Rest in Akron, Martins Creek Mennonite Church, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry of Millersburg and Zion Reformed Church.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Alpine Dairy LLC, Berlin Natural Bakery, Coblentz Chocolates, East Holmes Schools, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Farmerstown Auction, Green Leaf, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Kauffman Bakery, Miller Custom Vending, Mt.
