MAHONING COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — Thousands of people are without power Sunday afternoon after a round of severe weather swept through the region, spurring tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings for area counties.
According to FirstEnergy’s outage map, more than 26,000 customers in Mahoning County are in the dark as of 3 p.m. on July 5.
Trumbull and Portage counties were also hit by the afternoon storms that produced strong winds and heavy rainfall.
