AKRON, Ohio — Officials at the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday it will be necessary for the agency to use DNA testing in order to identify the two people who were killed in last week’s plane crash into an Akron home.
According to the ME’s office, the dental records of the plane’s occupants — a certified flight instructor and the pilot/owner — were not available.
NTSB officials report that the 1963 Piper Cherokee took off from Akron Fulton Airport at about 2:03 p.m. on May 14 and flew roughly 30 or 40 miles south for what he described as a “training flight.”…
