One evacuated, pets safe after house fire in Guilderland, officials say

GUILDERLAND, NY (WRGB) — One person was evacuated from a house fire in Guilderland Friday night, after neighbors reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the side of the home.

Fire officials told CBS6 there were also animals inside the home when crews arrived, and they are all OK.

First Assistant Chief Jackie Coons of the Fort Hunter Fire District said the call came in around 7:30 tonight. She said firefighters found some charring to the walls of the house, but no significant damage to the home’s structure…
